Our Beliefs
Presbyterians have always believed that the Bible is the most authoritative source for faith and practice for all people. To become a Presbyterian one must be baptized (we accept all baptisms in the the name of the Trinity) and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Every church has a pastor, but the members of a congregation are the ministers, concerned for others in need--we are ministers to members and non-members alike.
The church recognizes the right to exercise freedom of opinion. Presbyterians are Democrats, Republicans, Vegetarians, Rotartians and Lions! God works in everyone's life very differently and none of us are in a position to impose our political or social views on others; so Presbyterians include all kinds of folks . . .as long as they confess Jesus as Lord and attempt to live as He commanded--that is to love one another.
Check out "What Presbyterians Believe" under the Links Heading! You will find some great information on all kinds of subjects. |
